The Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan in collaboration with Heirloom Artisans, Kathmandu Nepal will be presenting an exhibition titled ‘Timeless Creations’

Heirloom Artisans is an exclusive design studio in Kathmandu, initiated in 2002. It has excelled in the transformation of ordinary products and raw materials into a range that are more often than not, limited to one of a kind piece. Heirloom has focused on creating finest hand-crafts, not by adaptation of the west, but by retaining the art and essence of Nepal to an unmatched quality.

The Designer and Founder, Nilam Pandé spends much of her creative energy in finding resources locally and recreates them ‘piece by piece’. Special attention is given to natural fibres.

Nourished by the innovative energies of its talented artisans, Heirloom puts together art and craft, with meticulous unmatched detailing.

It was this ‘essence of beauty’ that brought Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck,  Royal Patron of the Royal Textile Academy to Heirloom during her visit to Kathmandu. Her Majesty saw great potential in knowledge sharing and encouraged Heirloom to showcase in Bhutan.

On display at the Royal Textile Academy will be Heirloom’s work that range from Soft furnishing, Cashmere Throws and Wraps, Thangkas, Wall Hangings, Tapestry, Bed-Linen, Cushions, Table-ware, Woollen Rugs and Home Décor custom-designed especially for Bhutan.

Her Majesty, the Queen Mother Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck will be inaugurating ‘Timeless Creations’ on 18th October, 2019 at the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan, 3:30 PM.
