𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐫. 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐆𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫 of the William H Geiger Family Foundation

A virtual meeting with Mr. & Mrs. Geiger and Mrs. Krista Amason, President, Friends of the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan (FRTAB) was held on 23rd February 2022. During the meeting, the on-going activities of the Weaving into the Future program funded by the William H Geiger Family Foundation, Inc. was assessed. Long term plans and new ideas for future collaborations were also discussed.
Mr. and Mrs. Geiger have been supporters of the RTA since its establishment in 2004. Mrs. LeeAnne Geiger serves as a Board member of the FRTAB based in the US.
The Foundation has been supporting the Weaving into the Future program since 2016. With their new commitment, the support will continue until 2032. While there has been significant contribution in the weaving pockets of the country, we hope to see a tremendous impact over the next 10 years in the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage and in particular, textile.
We at the RTA are truly humbled by their level of support and continuously inspired by the dedication and generosity of Mr & Mrs Geiger. The RTA remains ever grateful for their commitment and confidence in our work.
