Winter Weaving Program for students begins at RTA

19 December 2017: Winter Weaving Program for students is one of the regular programs conducted by the RTA since 2014.

This winter, it is being conducted in two batches. The training for the first batch, comprising 17 students, for this winter has begun today at the RTA. The program for first batch will be till 10 January 2018.

It is targeted to provide opportunities to students to be productively engaged while also training them in the art of weaving during their long winterย vacation.

The students are provided with all the necessary weaving tools and materials by the RTA as well as a minimum stipend to purchase their back-to-school necessities.

In addition, the RTA also certifies their skills and participation at the end of the training program.
