A consultative meeting for the National Design and Art Competition (NDAC) was held with the judges and participants at the RTA from 18 – 20 November 2020. This was held mainly to discuss and finalize the judging criteria for the three categories: Wood Carving, Sculpture, and Traditional Painting.

NDAC is an annual event held in seven categories: Weaving (Gho), Weaving (Kira),ย Embroidery, Traditional Painting, Wood Carving, Sculpture, and Contemporary Art. The top three winners in each category are recognized with certificates from the Royal Patron, Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck, along with cash prizes of Nu. 120,000/- for first prize winner, Nu. 65,000/- for second prize winner, and Nu. 32,500/- for the third prize winner.

The upcoming 19th NDAC will tentatively be held between February – March 2021
