𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 (𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭)

September 30, 2025:
Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck, Royal Patron of the Royal Textile Academy (RTA), graced the commencement of construction for RTA’s fourth and final phase, the Conference and Cultural Heritage Center, on September 30, 2025. The auspicious rituals were presided over by His Eminence the Ex-Tsugla Lopen Rinpoche Samten Dorji, and the event was attended by members of the RTA Board of Trustees, donors, foreign diplomats, representatives of international organizations, senior government officials, and well-wishers of the Academy.

The overall design of the RTA campus is inspired by the symbolic tale of the Four Harmonious Friends. The final phase, symbolized by the Elephant, will feature a state-of-the-art auditorium with a seating capacity of 365, a conference center that accommodates 1,000 participants, office spaces, and two levels of basement parking.
