The Mellow

The Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan (RTA) in collaboration with CDK Designs is hosting a fashion exhibition and sale at the RTA Gallery. The exhibition and sales titled, ‘The Mellow’ is a collection inspired by expression of stillness and calmness of water. It will also feature a fashion show as a part of the opening event. The exhibition and sales titled, “The Mellow” includes experimenting with the natural dyes and combination of Bhutanese textile with wooden beads. “The mixture of purple cabbage with different dyes brings the stillness and links the figure design as simple and calm,” says Chandrika. “It gives a mature, sophisticated and classy look.” A collection inspired by expression of stillness & calmness of water, my work includes experimenting with natural dyes and combinations of Bhutanese textile with wooden beads.
